NARXOZ UNIVERSITY

This university campus, originally built during the Soviet era, is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The project scope entailed a complete gut renovation of a nearly 300m long existing building, as well as the introduction of a new “gateway” entry building to help orient visitors and students entering the campus. The design team were tasked with creating flexible classrooms, assembly, meeting and dining spaces for academic uses as well as other community events in order to facilitate the institution’s mission of becoming a state of the art regional and global academic destination.
